Reason for inquiry
Appeal by Powerfuel Portland Limited against Dorset Council's refusal of planning application WP/20/00692/DCC for: Portland Port, Castletown, Portland, DT5 1PP.
Construction of an Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) with ancillary buildings and works including administrative facilities, gatehouse and weighbridge, parking and circulation areas, cable routes to ship berths and existing off-site electrical sub-station, with site access through Portland Port from Castletown.
An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will hold an Inquiry opening on the date shown above to decide the appeal. Members of the public may attend the Inquiry and, at the Inspector’s discretion, express their views.
Anyone wishing to participate in the inquiry, must make their interest known to the Planning Inspectorate Case Officer as soon as possible, prior to the inquiry, either by email or telephone after reading the inquiry attendance information set out in the full site notice.
